SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER / PROJECT ARCHITECT

To work at our studio in North Miami Beach, FL

REQUIREMENTS

About the Role

SDH Studio seeks an experienced Senior Architectural Designer / Project Architect tto join our integrated team of architects and designers. This is a key position for an architect who excels at managing high-profile projects, building strong client relationships, and fostering a culture of design excellence. As a participant in our uniquely collaborative design process, you will work hand-in-hand with our founder and principal architect as well as colleagues across disciplines on a wide variety of luxury single-family residential projects.

 

Architectural Design Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in architecture required; architectural license preferred
  • Must have 7+ years’ of professional experience working on custom luxury residential design projects

 

Skill Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Enthusiastic commitment to our multidisciplinary design process and team environment
  • Deep working knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction processes
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-faced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Curious and open-minded to learn and assume increased responsibilities
  • Committed to building a long-term professional career
  • Bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish

 

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the success of multiple projects from schematic design through construction administration, including:

  • Lead the development of custom single-family residential design projects from inception through construction documents ensuring the quality and intent of the design.
  • Prepare client presentations and documentation for schematic design, design development, and construction documents
  • Work on research for product and construction methods related to projects
  • Review and process construction administration documents
  • Meeting with clients, suppliers and trades
  • Project management skills for high-end custom single-family residential projects

 

Other Requirements

  • You must currently reside in the Miami area or be willing to relocate
  • If you are relocating from outside the United States, you must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States – we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
