The great room rises to a double-height ceiling clad in fine wood slats, wrapped by a ribbon of clerestory windows framing sky and palms. A long ivory bouclé sofa with a cognac leather back faces a curving, cloud-like settee across a layered rug in plum and gold, while caramel lounge chairs, marble-topped tables and a towering fiddle-leaf fig soften the volume. In the adjoining dining area, interlocking bronze ring chandeliers float above an oval stone table on a brass pedestal, encircled by taupe velvet chairs. Glass walls pocket away to a covered loggia.
The kitchen is a study in contrast. Floor-to-ceiling walnut cabinetry conceals appliances and a wine column, while the island and backsplash are dressed in black marble veined in gold. Glass-fronted upper cabinets, a linear brass pendant and cognac leather stools on brass sled bases finish the kitchen, and a band of clerestory windows above keeps this richly toned space luminous.
The home office balances discipline with personality. A bronze wire shelving system displays books and objects, while a faceted marble desk, tomato-red velvet chairs and a bubble-glass chandelier sit on an oval, hand-tufted rug beneath a large expressionist canvas. Tall windows and sheer linen drapery filter garden light across the room.
In the primary suite, a walnut feature wall with concealed uplighting backs a channel-tufted gray headboard and a layered arrangement of black-and-white artwork. Mustard velvet chairs sit by the glass, which slides open to a private terrace and pool. The primary bath pairs bookmatched white marble with wide-plank oak floors, a sculptural freestanding tub set before a wall of greenery, and a floating walnut double vanity with brass-framed mirrors suspended from floor-to-ceiling rods.
The powder room is the home’s jewel box. Walls wrapped in radiating wood marquetry frame a floating vanity carved from violet-veined marble, crowned by a marble-framed mirror and a single crystal pendant.
Mustard velvet, violet-veined marble and gold-veined black stone could easily overwhelm. Set against white stone and walnut, and washed in Miami light, they read instead as a collection, with each room allowed one confident statement.
