Two Houses, Two Countries, Two International Property Awards

Two SDH Studio homes have each been named Winner, Architecture Single Residence, at the 2026–2027 International Property Awards: 1015 Residence for Florida, and Ocean View for Belize.

1015 Residence sits on an intracoastal canal in Hollywood. Ocean View faces the sea in Ladyville, Belize.

Different coastlines, different climates, one conviction: a home should be designed around its site, its climate and the people who live in it.

In Detail: Ocean View

Winner, Architecture Single Residence – Belize

Ocean View begins with one idea: the house turns its back on the road and gives everything to the water. Two coral-stone volumes, a garage pavilion and a detached cabana form a private street front, then open fully toward the sea.

Arrival is a sequence of stepping-stone pavers, a canopy, a reflecting pool and a planted courtyard. At the rear, a double-height volume with exposed beams and a timber soffit leads to a deep covered terrace above the pool and the waterline. Deep overhangs, planted roofs and a raised ground floor answer the tropical climate.

In Detail: 1015 Residence

Winner, Architecture Single Residence – Florida

On an intracoastal canal in Hollywood, 1015 Residence is organized by a single gesture: a thin white roof that bends like water. Beneath it, horizontal planes step forward and back, and a sculptural white spiral stair rises through a double-height foyer.

An S-shaped balcony with integrated planters, organic roof openings that pull in daylight, a freeform pool and a private dock tie the house to the water. SDH Studio designed both the architecture and the interiors, with landscape by Eco Pacheco, construction by TREO Construction and photography by Diana Todorova.
