Porto Vita Penthouse

Calm and soft, indirect light define the Porto Vita Penthouse, a 7,308-square-foot residence in Aventura, Florida. Ivory, sand and taupe are layered with textured wall coverings, pale oak, warm walnut and softly veined stone, while indirect lighting and tall glazing draw in views of the surrounding water and greenery. Linen-textured walls and flush, concealed doors keep the hallway clean and quiet, while a bronze-tinted mirror panel pushes light further along the hall. A sculptural console rests on rounded stone-like legs beneath a slim brass pendant, and a lit display niche at the end of the corridor draws the eye forward.

In the kitchen, a waterfall island in white marble with dramatic gold and gray veining commands the room, paired with green upholstered counter stools. The same stone wraps the backsplash and a floating hood, while full-height oak-toned cabinetry, glass-fronted upper cabinets with warm interior lighting and bronze fixtures keep the room refined and calm.

The dining room is framed by a full wall of pale oak, where backlit floating shelves display ceramics above a long marble-topped credenza. A delicate branching chandelier hangs over an oval table ringed by softly upholstered chairs, and an arched window above full-height glass doors adds a graceful classical note.

The living room sits beneath a sloped wood ceiling, where a grand arched window brings in abundant light. A media wall clad in honed gray stone is flanked by lit walnut shelves, and a low floating cabinet runs its length. The adjoining TV room is intimate and layered, with paneled walls, a recessed cove of light, a cream sofa and boucle lounge chairs gathered around a round wood table.

A sculptural white spiral stair, rising through a soaring void, links the levels like a piece of art. Its smooth, continuous ribbon is softened by potted olive trees at its base and a warm line of light tracing the wall.

The primary bedroom continues the soft palette with a paneled headboard wall, floating nightstands and pairs of brass and glass pendants. Vertical wood slats frame a writing desk, and a freestanding partition conceals a television beside a cozy reading corner with walnut shelving. The primary bathroom pairs warm stone with walnut paneling, fluted double vanities and illuminated mirrors, centered on a freestanding tub. A dedicated makeup area with a pill-shaped lit mirror completes the suite.
