SDH Studio, one of Miami’s leading contemporary architectural and interior design studios, has announced the promotion of Louis Fuentes to the role of Architectural Creative Manager & Technology Director. Previously serving as Technology Manager & Senior Architectural Designer, Louis has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s design philosophy, merging cutting-edge technology with an architectural language deeply rooted in context, materiality, and spatial fluidity.
Personal Profile
Louis grew up in Cuba where he loved nature, architecture and music. He received his bachelor’s degree in architecture in 2009 from the Technological University of Havana José Antonio Echeverría, Cuba before joining SDH Studio in 2014.
Louis’ approach to architecture is a masterclass in balance—blending innovation with timeless principles, crafting spaces that resonate with both function and aesthetic sophistication. He frequently uses local materials, open floor plans, horizontal lines, and geometric shapes to create innovative and functional buildings, all underscored by a commitment to seamless integration with the natural environment. His projects demonstrate a distinct emphasis on horizontal lines, reinforcing a sense of grounded elegance while maintaining a fluid connection between indoor and outdoor realms.
